Noodles is the collaboration between Rod Bailey aka bigmcenore, and Alvaro Rojas aka Alvaro Rojas. Bailey and Rojas met when their kids went to the same school and their wives forced them to hang out together. It didn’t take long to establish their mutual love of music and next thing you know they were in the bigmcenroe’s home studio, trying a few riffs and having some fun.

Alvaro is a classically trained musician specializing in jazz and avant garde, while bigmcenroe has been writing and producing hip hop for his entire adult life. Over the pandemic, the pair collaborated remotely on Noodles, the new LP.

The bandcamp version of this album features extended interludes and is the original version of the album as intended to be heard, front to back.

I've missed old school anticon (and affiliated), such an influential part of my late teens and early 20s. My old record store had a section dedicated to leftfield hip-hop when I was growing up, this is exactly what I've been missing, and would've gone straight in there. I only hope we get more of Dose, Buck, and Jel together. El Bleak
